Separation and quantification of sn-1 and sn-2 fatty acid positional isomers in phosphatidylcholine by RPLC-ESIMS/MS.
Endogenous phosphatidylcholine in biological membranes exists as isomers with acyl moieties at the sn-1 or sn-2 positions of the glycerol backbone. However, detailed biochemical information on these positional isomers is not generally available. This study is the first report on the separation and identification of positional isomers of endogenous phosphatidylcholine using reversed-phase LC-ESI...
متن کاملIsospin dependent multifragmentation in 112 Sn 1 112 Sn and 124 Sn 1 124 Sn collisions
Percolation models have proven highly successful in the simulation of multifragmentation reactions in the past @1,2#. Within these models, fragmentation is described by first distributing a set of points or sites, each representing a nucleon, on a three-dimensional lattice, which represents the bonds between the sites. In the case of a simple rectangular lattice, each site is connected to six n...
متن کاملYrast 6⁺ seniority isomers of (136,138)Sn.
Delayed γ-ray cascades, originating from the decay of (6⁺) isomeric states, in the very neutron-rich, semimagic isotopes (136,138)Sn have been observed following the projectile fission of a ²³⁸U beam at RIBF, RIKEN. The wave functions of these isomeric states are proposed to be predominantly a fully aligned pair of f(7/2) neutrons. Shell-model calculations, performed using a realistic effective...
متن کاملIsospin dependent multi - fragmentation in 112 Sn + 112 Sn and 124 Sn + 124 Sn collisions
Significant differences in the relationships between fragment, neutron, and charged particle multiplicities were found between Sn+Sn and Sn+Sn collisions at 40 MeV/A. In this paper we explore the possibility to explain this phenomenon in the framework of percolation models, and find, that the results are only reproducible in part.
متن کاملStudy of isomers in neutron - rich magic 132 Sn region
Shell model calculations have been done for interpreting two representative isomeric states in neutron rich Sn region using SMN and SMPN Hamiltonians. They are, (i) 2.91 min isomer in Cs and (ii) the 0.57 μs isomer in Sb nuclei. The results are compared with those obtained with KH5082 and CW5082 Hamiltonians. How the results clearly distinguish the most appropriate interaction has been discussed.
